Admission requirements: Applicants must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent in the field of Medicine or Biology.
Training objectives:
- Perform the technique of fresh examination of vaginal fluid specimens.
- Identify the images of yeast cells (pseudo-hyphae of yeast cells), Trichomonas on the fresh vaginal fluid smears.
- Perform the Gram staining technique of vaginal fluid specimens.
- Identify and evaluate the normal microbiota components in Gram-stained vaginal fluid smears of adults.
- Identify the images of Lactobacillus.
- Evaluate vaginal infections according to Hay/Ison or Nugent criteria.
- Identify some images that may be confused with pathogenic agents in Gram-stained vaginal fluid smears (parabasal cells, squamous epithelial cells, etc.).
Faculty: Faculty members from Hanoi Medical University and experts from Phacogen Technology Institute.
Training duration: 2 days (8 sessions per day) at Phacogen Technology Institute & Hanoi Medical University.
Number of students: 10-12 students per class.
Expected commencement date: April-May 2023, with continuous commencement schedules on weekends.
Tuition fee: 3,000,000 VND per student.
