Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are quite common in Vietnam and other countries around the world. Although rarely fatal, STDs have many complications, sequelae, and serious consequences. In testing techniques for accurate diagnosis of diseases, Realtime PCR is one of the outstanding molecular biology application technologies, with high sensitivity, specificity, simultaneous screening of many samples and multi-detection of multiple samples, pathogens.
The course "Application of Realtime PCR technique in detecting sexually transmitted agents (HPV & STD)" will provide basic knowledge about some sexually transmitted diseases, common tests used in diagnosis as well as implementing Realtime PCR technique to detect some pathogens.
The course was held for 2 days (March 24th-25th, 2022) with the participation of trainers as follows:
